United States of America (Alternate Future)

The United States of America is a constitutional presidential democratic republic located within North America. It consists of 55 states and one autonomous region, Alaska. It shares land borders with the nations of Canada and Mexico, and maritime borders with Russia, through Alaska, and Malaysia/Indonesia, through South Philippines. Its capital is Douglass, a square around the Potomac, while its largest city is New York. Other large cities include Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Havana, and Manila. Its primary religion is Evangelist Christianity, with minorities of other religions, such as Catholicism, Mainline Protestantism, Judaism, and Islam. It was founded on July 4, 1776, after a long war with the United Kingdom.
